| The PET Dispensing Pig provides a full 3.5 cm of solid tungsten for the safe shielding of high-energy PET radiopharmaceuticals. Designed to accommodate 30-ml vials (adapters are available for smaller vials). The threaded lid attaches to the body of the pig so that no “radiation shine-through” occurs. | The PET Syringe Shield docks magnetically with the PET Dispensing Pig. Designed to accept 3 cc and 5 cc B-D syringes, it places the needle inside the vial septum when engaged. The body of the shield is constructed of solid tungsten – 2.1 cm thick – for maximum shielding. The external calibration rod allows precise volume to be withdrawn without a leaded glass viewing port, where high exposure levels cannot be adequately shielded. The system allows the plunger to be pulled back with a pair of forceps, allowing exposure to remain ALARA.

| PETPig™ Syringe Pig / Syringe Shield |  |

| PETPig™ permits the safe transport and administration of unit dose PET radiopharmaceuticals. It is constructed with solid tungsten walls 2.25 cm thick, while weighing only 15.6 lb. The “T” handle on the PETPig™ cap allows for easy lifting out of traditional “ammo can” delivery cases. The threaded top provides easy access to the 3- or 5-cc syringe. Use of the thermos-style handle reduces hand exposure by permitting the PETPig™ to be carried to the imaging suite without holding container sidewalls. Prior to injection, the base unscrews, allowing the center portion to be used as a syringe shield. When placed in the optional PETPig™ Cradle (product no. 600308), the product allows for patient administrations with ease and maximum shielding. | ||||

The FDG Pig and FDG Pig Holders are made of solid tungsten. The FDG Pig is used for storage of the syringe after dose drawing. It can be lifted easily out of the FDG Pig Holder without hand exposure. The Shipping Bag is made of nylon. Two types of Shipping Bag are available: one with rolling wheels and a retractable pull handle (product no. 690302), and one without wheels (a retractable handle is available on request for this model, product no. 690302-2). Included in the Shipping Bag is a high-density, protective foam layer encompassing the FDG Pig Holder on all sides. |
