Iodine Dispensing System

The Iodine Dispensing System permits dispensing of radioiodine without having to hold the pig. The 2.5-cm-thick solid tungsten container holds a 10-ml vial and safely shields up to Curie quantities of Iodine-131. With its tungsten “cork” magnetically held in place, it is designed to be held inverted in the dispensing station to permit safe compounding of iodine capsules or solutions. The stainless steel base provides shielding when standard lead bricks are in place. Its fully adjustable armature allows for positioning at any height or angle.
